What is the difference between demo mode and live mode?

LoyaltyTree operates in two distinct modes to support testing and production use. Demo Mode (testing) uses sample tree data like "Nile Tulip trees in Tanzania" for demonstration purposes - no real trees are planted and no credits are consumed. This allows stores to test the complete loyalty experience without environmental or financial commitment. Live Mode (production) connects to the actual OneSeed.eco API to plant real trees with GPS coordinates, species information, and measurable CO₂ impact. Live mode requires sufficient account credits and an active OneSeed project. Store owners can toggle between modes in their settings, and the mode is clearly indicated throughout the admin dashboard and customer widgets.
