What is the gift card/credit claiming system?
Allow customers to manually claim gift card rewards when they're ready to use them.
The gift card/credit claiming system allows stores to require customers to manually claim their pending gift certificates or credits before they are created in Shopify. When enabled, seeds are deducted immediately when a customer qualifies for a gift card/credit, but the actual Shopify gift card/credit is only created when the customer uses the claiming widget on your storefront. This prevents unused gift cards/credits from accumulating in Shopify and gives customers control over when they receive their rewards. Unclaimed gift cards/credits can be managed through the admin dashboard, and customers can claim multiple pending gift cards/credits at once. The system includes automatic status tracking and synchronization with Shopify gift card/credit balances.
