What happens if a customer cancels an order?
How order cancellations affect customer seed balances and transaction history.
When an order is cancelled in Shopify, LoyaltyTree automatically receives a webhook notification and reverses the seed award. The seeds are deducted from the customer's balance, and a cancellation transaction is logged in their seed event history. If the customer has already redeemed seeds for trees, those redemptions remain valid as the trees represent a separate environmental commitment. All seed transactions maintain a complete audit trail for transparency.
